The Ferrum Falcon family prides itself on always striving for excellence. Our vision statement clearly states: through Ferrum to the future; therefore we strive to continuously grow and be ready for the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Our school was officially opened in 1975. It was first known as Sunnyridge High School and was located near the Golf course and the old Iscor Club. That same year the school moved to the more permanent buildings where we are now. With this move, there was also a name change, and Ferrum High School was born.
At Ferrum High School we emphasise academic, sports, and cultural achievements. We believe in the holistic education of the child. It is also important to not only covey content knowledge to the child but to also focus on five specific values. A Ferrum Falcon is always honest and treats others with compassion and respect. A Ferrum Falcon has integrity and always accepts accountability for his/her behaviour.

Trots in uitnemendheid
Die Ferrum Valke-familie is baie trots om te sê dat ons altyd streef na uitnemendheid. Ons skool se visie is: deur Ferrum na die toekoms; daarom streef ons daarna om altyd te groei en gereed te wees vir die 4de Industriële Revolusie.
Ons skool is amptelik in 1975 ge-open. Die skool het aanvanklik bekend gestaan as Hoërskool Sunnyridge. Hierdie skool was naby die gholfbaan en die ou Iskorklub geleë. In daardieselfde jaar het die skool na die huidige (nuwe) geboue geskuif. Tesame met die skuif het die naam van die skool ook verander na Hoërskool Ferrum.
By Ferrum is daar ‘n gesonde klem op akademiese-, sport- en kultuuraktiwiteite. Ons glo in die holistiese opvoeding van die kind. Dit is ook vir ons belangrik om nie slegs boekekennis aan die kind oor te dra nie, maar om ook op vyf spesifieke waardes te fokus. ‘n Ferrumvalk is altyd eerlik, behandel ander met deernis en respek. ‘n Ferrumvalk het integriteit en aanvaar altyd aanspreeklikheid vir sy gedrag.
